HK people seek help in London terror attack

Immigration Department

The Immigration Department has received 77 requests for help from Hong Kong residents in London after a series of explosions rocked the British capital.

All the requests are related to unsuccessful attempts to contact their family members or friends in the UK. Contacts have been established with 60 of the Hong Kong residents concerned, and there is no information indicating any casualties involving Hong Kong residents so far.

The Government is liaising with the Travel Industry Council and the Chinese Embassy in the UK to offer assistance.

Hong Kong residents in London needing help should contact the Chinese Embassy, on 020 7299 4049, or call the department's 24-hour hotline (852) 2829 3010.

The Chinese Embassy in London is located at 49-51 Portland Place.

Telephone numbers and addresses of Chinese Embassies can be obtained by calling (852) 2824 6111.

The address and phone numbers for the Chinese Embassy in London, and in other countries, is available here
