The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a case of Legionnaires' disease affecting a 66-year-old man.
The man, living in Fu Shin Estate, Tai Po, fell ill on October 6 and was admitted to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital on October 18.
The clinical diagnosis was pneumonia and he is in stable condition.
He tested positive for Legionella pneumophila.
He has no recent travel history and his home contact has no symptoms.
It is the 56th case this year.
