Free flu jabs extended

October 08, 2015

The Government Vaccination Programme is being extended to cover seniors aged 65 or above and the intellectually disabled from mid-October.

From October 15, free flu jabs will be offered to seniors aged 65 or above and the intellectually disabled who are public hospital patients or receiving treatment at clinics.

Tentatively in early November, seniors aged 65 or above living in the community can be vaccinated for free at all 73 Hospital Authority general out-patient clinics and 10 designated Health Department elderly health centres.

Intellectually disabled people who are vaccinated at enrolled private doctors, or those aged nine or under who have never been vaccinated before can receive subsidies.

Children aged between six months and under six-years-old (or pre-primary students aged six or above) can receive a $160 per dose subsidy if vaccinated at enrolled private doctors.

Call hotline 2125 2125 for enquiries or visit the vaccination schemes homepage for details.
