Chief Executive CY Leung today expressed his appreciation to the staff of various Government departments for their efforts during the occupy movement.
He noted that all roads that were illegally occupied during the movement have been reopened and that public transport services are back to normal following the clearance of the occupied roads in Causeway Bay.
"In the past two months or so, colleagues from police, fire services, healthcare, food and environmental hygiene, transport and other departments stayed committed to their work despite tremendous pressure. They made relentless efforts to serve Hong Kong people and minimise the disturbances caused by the occupy movement," Mr Leung said in a statement.
"I greatly appreciate colleagues of various departments who have performed their duties and served Hong Kong people with dedication," he added.
