Chief Executive CY Leung today expressed concern about order and security at the Admiralty protest site following Sunday's violence outside the Central Government Offices.
He told reporters ahead of this morning's Executive Council meeting that most of the protesters who violently charged at Police outside CGO had been involved in the Mong Kok clashes.
Mr Leung urged students staying at the Admiralty site to be careful. They should think about the consequences of joining the occupation, which is an illegal movement, he added.
Responding to the news some students have gone on hunger strike to pressure the Government into a dialogue on constitutional reform, Mr Leung urged them to take care of their health, and reiterated that any reforms must comply with the Basic Law.
