Hong Kong Police

Police have summonsed five people for ticket scalping relating to the unauthorised sale of Olympic equestrian event tickets.

The Commercial Crime Bureau's Technology Crime Division contacted two men, aged 25 and 34, and three women aged 28 to 31 to sell them Olympic equestrian event tickets in Central District, Tsing Yi, Kowloon Tong and Mongkok. Officers seized 42 tickets.

The division is keeping a close watch on any online ticket-scalping activities.

Police remind members of the public it is an offence to sell or offer for sale any ticket at a price higher than that fixed by the organiser. Anyone found guilty will be subject to a fine of $2,000.
