Customs officers have seized smuggled drugs concealed in express parcels and passenger luggage, worth about $2.53 million.

Officers yesterday found 22kg of herbal cannabis, worth about $2.13 million, in the luggage of a 24-year-old South African man arriving from Johannesburg.

On August 15, officers seized 530g of cocaine, worth about $400,000, from an express parcel from California. The haul was concealed in two hollowed-out books.
