*
Hong Kong Police

A 70-year-old taxi driver was killed and three men injured in a traffic accident in Lok Ma Chau.

About 12.40am, a bus and a tow truck were travelling along the first lane and second lanes of a Fanling Highway slip road towards Lok Ma Chau Interchange, Yuen Long bound.

A man driving a taxi in the first lane of Fanling Highway reportedly tried to pass into the second lane of the slip road, and hit the tow truck. His taxi then crashed into the railings and was hit by the bus. The bus then hit the tow truck.

The driver was thrown from the taxi and certified dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the drivers of the bus and the tow truck, aged 39 and 23, as well as a 25-year-old passenger on board the tow truck, were sent to the North District Hospital.

Anyone who saw the accident or has any information to offer should contact Police on 2675 3325 or 2675 3384.
