A 56-year-old motorcyclist died after colliding head-on with a truck in Aberdeen.

At about noon today, the motorcyclist was driving along Island Road towards Aberdeen. As he reached a left bend near Ocean Park, he reportedly lost control of the bike and crashed into a truck headed in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist was sent to Queen Mary Hospital where he was certified dead at 2.09pm.
