Police have issued 51 summonses to minibus drivers and passengers, and verbally warned another nine, for not wearing seatbelts and for other offences, in an enforcement blitz in Kowloon West.

The two-day operation ended today.

The first eight months this year saw 292 accidents involving minibuses in the region, resulting in 111 casualties.
