Closer connection: Director of Immigration Lai Tung-kwok and the 20 immigration officers who will study in Beijing.

Assistant Director (Control) of Immigration David Chiu and 19 immigration officers will participate in an eight-day study programme on the Mainland from September 10.

Director of Immigration Lai Tung-kwok said it will allow the officers to broaden their horizons and establish closer ties with their Mainland counterparts.

It is the second Mainland Study Programme at Beijing Gong An University. The officers will attend lectures on the Mainland's legal and constitutional system, police administrative management, human rights protection, criminal psychology, as well as the Mainland's economic and politics situation and outlook.

The delegation will also visit the Public Security Bureau Beijing Exit-and-Entry Administration Division and Yanan.
