Ngau Tau Kok crash kills truck driver
*
Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in which a 32-year-old forklift truck driver was killed in Ngau Tau Kok.

At about 1.10am, the man parked his truck at the junction of Wang Tung Street and Wang Kwong Road to unload goods onto the tail platform of a van parked in front.

He got off to push the goods into the medium goods vehicle. The truck reportedly skidded forward and the man was trapped between it and the van's tail platform.

The driver sustained serious chest injuries and was sent to the United Christian Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.33am.

Investigations are underway. Anyone who might have seen the accident is urged to contact Police at 2305 7575 or 2305 7500.
