*
Hong Kong Police

Police are investigating a traffic accident in which a 22-year-old man was killed in Tseung Kwan O last night.

At about 7pm, a 24-seater private bus driven by a 61-year-old man was travelling eastbound along Mau Tai Road in Tseung Kwan O. While turning right into Mau Yip Road, it reportedly knocked down the man as he was crossing the road.

The man was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital with serious injuries and later transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 11.14pm.

The Special Traffic Investigation Team from Kowloon East is following up on the case.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2305 7500 or 2305 7570.
