Caution urged over suspicious website

*
Monetary Authority logo

The Monetary Authority warns of a suspected fraudulent website with the domain name www.dlfh.com.

It is run by an alleged "DaLong Group", which claims it has offices in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and offers various banking and investment services.

The site looks similar to Dah Sing Bank's official website. But the bank has clarified it has no connection with the alleged "DaLong Group" and the suspect website.

Consumers should be aware the "DaLong Group" is not authorised under the Banking Ordinance to conduct banking business or take deposits in Hong Kong, nor does it have approval to establish a local representative office.

The case has been referred to Police for investigation, and to the relevant overseas regulator for further clarification.

Anyone who has dealings with the "DaLong Group", or has provided their personal information to the website, or has conducted any financial transactions through the website should contact Police at 2860 5012.
