Lost wheel strikes four, killing one
*
Hong Kong Police

A man was killed and three others injured yesterday when a wheel reportedly fell off a medium goods vehicle and struck them.

The vehicle had been travelling along Castle Peak Road towards Tuen Mun. Its two left wheels became loose and fell off near Sea Crest Villa Phase Four, where the four men - aged 30, 42, 44 and 54 - were doing road work.

They were sent to Yan Chai Hospital where the 44-year-old man was certified dead at 3:20pm.

New Territories South's Special Traffic Investigation Team is looking into the incident. Anyone who might have witnessed the accident is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2611 3320 or 2611 3200.
