The Buildings Department has confirmed the Lai Chi Kok Road building damaged in a traffic accident on February 12 is structurally safe. Residents can return to their flats.

The department said an order to close the pre-war building will not be required. It will appoint a term contractor to conduct repairs if they are not carried out by the owner in the next few days. Reimbursement will be sought from the owner.
