Linked food poisonings probed

*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating three food poisoning cases involving 11 people who ate at the same Sha Tin restaurant.

The first two groups, comprising a man and seven women aged 22 to 63, developed abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and fever after eating at the restaurant on September 10.

The third group, involving a male and two females aged 10 to 40, developed similar symptoms after consuming food bought from the same restaurant on September 15. One of them required hospitalisation and is stable.

The centre reminds people to observe good personal, food and environmental hygiene to prevent food-borne diseases.
