Swine flu patient dies
*
Department of Health

A 38-year-old human swine flu patient with a history of diabetes and renal failure has died.

He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital September 29 with flu symptoms. He tested positive to human swine flu and was given Tamiflu, Relenza and antibiotics, with ventilation support. His condition deteriorated and he died the same day.

The Department of Health has advised Diocesan Boy's School Primary Division in Mong Kok to suspend classes for a week due to a human swine flu outbreak affecting 152 students.

The students aged six to 12 have come down with flu-like symptoms since September 10. None have been hospitalised. All are stable. One student has tested positive to human swine flu.
