3 EV-71 cases confirmed

Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed three Enterovirus-71 infection cases involving two girls and a boy, bringing the year's total to 48.

 

A two-year-old girl developed oral ulcers and rash over her hands and feet on June 4. She consulted a doctor on June 6 and is now in stable condition.

 

A four-year-old Shenzhen boy developed fever, oral ulcers and a rash May 27. He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital on June 1 and discharged two days later.

 

A four-year-old girl developed a rash and oral ulcers on May 30. She sought treatment in Princess Margaret Hospital on May 30 and has recovered without hospitalisation.
