Spill drill: Fire Services officers work at a mass decontamination facility during a chemical incident exercise.

*

Queen Elizabeth Hospital has conducted a contingency drill with the Fire Services Department to evaluate measures in handling chemical incidents.

Today's exercise involved a mock spillage of chemical agents in an MTR station, resulting in 10 casualties going to the hospital.

Hospital management activated its contingency response plans while the Fire Services Department erected a mass decontamination facility.

More than 60 staff participated.
