3 unlicensed food factories shut down

Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has shut down three unlicensed food factories, arresting four people and seizing 1,860kgs of rice dumplings, dumpling fillings and pig skin.

 

Officers raided a premises on Chun Yeung Street, North Point, this morning and seized 440kgs of rice dumplings and dumpling fillings. A man and a woman were arrested.

 

Another premises in Shek Wu Wai, Yuen Long, was later raided, with officers seizing 143kgs of rice dumplings and dumpling fillings and arresting a woman.

 

Meanwhile, 1,280kgs of pig skin was seized and a woman was arrested from another premises in the same village.
