Ballots drawn for the sale of surplus HOS flats
Ballot exercise: Housing Authority Subsidised Housing Committee Chairman Michael Choi draws ballots for surplus Home Ownership Scheme flats.
*

Ballots have been drawn for the sale of the first batch of 3,056 surplus Home Ownership Scheme flats to determine applicants' priority in flat selection, the Housing Authority says. The ballot results are available here.

They will also be posted tomorrow at the authority's customer service centre in Lok Fu, all public housing estate offices and district offices. Applicants can call the authority's sales hotline for enquiries.

Notifications for flat selection, along with the sales brochures, price list and other information, will be mailed to eligible applicants in batches according to ballot results. The on-site show flats in the three courts will open to prospective buyers during the flat selection period.

During the application period from January 2 to 15, 14,023 applications were received, with 9,807 were White Forms and 4,216 Green Forms.

The quota allocation between Green and White Forms has been set at 80:20. The top priority is given to families affected by clearance programmes initiated by the authority. Next in priority is Green Form families and White Form nuclear families with elderly members, followed by families with two or more members. Last in line are one-person households.

A total of 3,056 unoccupied completed flats are put on sale in the current sales exercise - including 1,200 units at Kingsford Terrace Stage 1, Wong Tai Sin; 1,489 units at Yu Chui Court, Sha Tin; and 367 units at Tin Fu Court, Tin Shui Wai. In addition to these three courts, applicants can also choose from the 576 completed flats in Kingston Terrace in Tuen Mun offered by the Housing Society.
