Imported fish samples pass safety checks

Centre for Food Safety

All 14 freshwater fish samples collected from the Cheung Sha Wan and Western Wholesale Food Markets have passed safety tests for malachite green, nitrofurans and chloramphenicol.

 

The Centre for Food Safety stepped up surveillance on seafood products during the Lunar New Year in case traders imported stock from improper channels to meet the increased demand.
