The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed a Dengue fever case in which a 63-year-old man fell ill after travelling to Thailand.

The Tai Po man came down with fever, muscle pain and fatigue on February 25. He was admitted to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital on March 1 and was discharged on March 7.

He visited Thailand with three people February 17 to 25. His companions did not develop symptoms.

This is the third imported Dengue fever case reported this year. Thirty-one cases, all imported, were reported in 2006. Click here for prevention tips.
