Hospital Authority

United Christian Hospital reports that three more male patients, aged 73 to 79, and one staff member have come down with diarrhoea. All are in stable condition.

Since June 7, there have been nine patients and one staff member with diarrhoea in the ward. Three of the patients have tested positive for Norovirus. Results for the rest are pending.

Infection control measures have been enhanced with no admission to the ward for the time being. All other patients in the ward are under close surveillance.

The hospital has reported the latest case to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection for follow-up.
