The Government will take into account experts' views to improve the public health system to ensure that all necessary measures are in place before winter to prepare against any possible SARS resurgence, the Chief Executive says.

During his visit to Princess Margaret Hospital this afternoon, Tung Chee Hwa said improvements are being carried out at major hospitals to enhance infection-control.
The move also aims to increase hospitals' ability to handle patients with infectious diseases.
Other short-term measures include upgrading of air ventiliation facilities and air filters, setting up more isolation facilities and improvements to restrooms for healthcare staff.
In the long run, the Hospital Authority will explore the feasiblity of setting up infectious-disease centres and other possible options, he added.
Mr Tung also thanked the frontline medical workers for their tremendous efforts in the SARS fight.
