High time for High Tea!
*
Patrick Ho
No such thing as a free lunch? There is now!: Residents can win free meals or movie tickets by joining a lucky draw or patronising over 480 shops in the High Tea for Hong Kong campaign. Secretary for Home Affairs Patrick Ho (centre) introduces details at a press conference.
*

To stimulate domestic consumption and the economy, the Home Affairs Department launched today the High Tea for Hong Kong Campaign, giving away food, drink and entertainment offers.

Residents can win the prizes by joining a lucky draw or patronising over 480 Hong Kong shops.

Secretary for Home Affairs Patick Ho said the campaign is part of the Relaunch Hong Kong Campaign. We Love HK, TVB and the catering industry will participate.

Mr Ho said the series of offers will include:

* A free banquet for 1,200 people on July 1 at the HK International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Kowloon Bay;

* 10,000 free movie tickets on July 1;

* Free coffee, cappuccino, rice, organic vegetables and free meals for life, one year or one month; and,

* A series of special food and drink bargains for one month.

Residents can dial hotline 9003 0901 between midnight and noon on June 27 to register in a computerised lucky draw to win the prizes.

They can also get bargains by visiting over 480 shops which carry the We Love HK campaign or High Tea for HK logos.

TVB will produce five food and drink specials for broadcast at 10.55pm from June 23 to 27.
