Police have condemned the last night's attack on journalists, and urged them to protect their safety.
Police Public Relations Branch Chief Superintendent Steve Hui said at a press conference today that two reporters and two photographers were injured in the incident.
While the confrontation in Tsim Sha Tsui last night was intensifying, Police arrived and separated groups with different views.
The injured journalists left under Police protection.
Police have investigated the case and are gathering evidence. Witnesses are urged to come forward with information.
Mr Hui said any violent behaviour is illegal. He appealed to the public to express opinions in a peaceful and rational manner.
