Among the latest batch of 72 blood samples taken from people affected by the lead in drinking water issue, 43 have been found to have normal levels of lead, the Government announced today.
The remaining 29 people who are still on a borderline-raised level include 28 children and one lactating woman.
The Department of Health will conduct further investigation into their lead exposure while the Hospital Authority will follow up and carry out clinical intervention.
Meanwhile, the Housing Authority announced that water samples from 12 more public rental housing estates completed before 2005 have passed safety checks.
They all met the World Health Organisation’s standard for lead content.
