The Centre for Health Protection recorded 24 suspected Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases from noon yesterday to noon today.
Of them, 20 were negative for the MERS virus in preliminary testing, while the results for the remaining four cases are pending.
No confirmed case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome has yet been identified in Hong Kong.
In view of the latest situation in Korea, the centre urges people to avoid unnecessary travel to the country and avoid unnecessary visits to healthcare facilities in places at risk for MERS.
