The Centre for Health Protection recorded 34 suspected Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases from noon yesterday to noon today.
Of them, 33 were negative for the MERS virus in preliminary testing, while the result for the remaining case is pending.
No confirmed case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome has been identified in Hong Kong so far.
In view of the latest situation in Korea, the centre urged people to avoid unnecessary travel to the country and avoid unnecessary visits to healthcare facilities in places at risk for MERS.
