The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a suspected case of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome, or MERS, affecting a woman aged 30.
She is staying in Tuen Mun Hospital for isolation and her condition is stable.
The patient had travelled alone to Dubai from May 24 to 27 and rode a camel there. She developed symptoms such as a fever and cough since May 28.
Test results are pending.
To date, 1,139 laboratory-confirmed MERS cases have been reported globally, including at least 431 deaths.
