The Department of Health is monitoring five newly reported Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases in Saudi Arabia, including one death.
The cases involve five male patients aged 39 to 75.
No human cases have been recorded locally so far.
The department advises travel agents organising tours to the Middle East not to arrange camel rides and activities involving camel contact, which may increase the risk of infection.
As Ramadan will begin in mid-June, the department reminds pilgrims preparing to go to the Saudi Arabia for Umrah to stay vigilant against the disease.
