The Department of Health is monitoring two Middle East Respiratory Syndrome cases, in Saudi Arabia and Iran.
The Saudi Arabian patient is a 35-year-old man who is currently in critical condition, while the patient from Iran is a 61-year-old man who has been discharged from hospital.
To date, 1,112 laboratory-confirmed MERS cases have been reported to the World Health Organisation globally, including at least 422 deaths.
No cases have been recorded locally.
Travel agents organising tours to the Middle East are advised not to arrange camel rides or activities involving the animals, which may increase the risk of infection.
