The Legislative Council oath-taking issue can and should be resolved within Hong Kong’s judicial system.
Secretary for Justice Rimsky Yuen made the statement today amid speculation a Basic Law interpretation of the matter may be sought.
Mr Yuen said he is confident the issue can be handled fairly, justly and professionally by Hong Kong courts, and hopes it is handled locally.
