The Government has taken immediate measures against Middle East Respiratory Syndrome in response to the outbreak in Korea, Chief Executive CY Leung said today.
Speaking to the media during a visit to Chicago, Mr Leung said those measures include identifying suspected cases at the airport.
He reminded healthcare workers to stay vigilant and follow strict infection control measures while handling suspected cases to reduce the risk of transmission.
Mr Leung also urged people to maintain good personal and environmental hygiene, and to seek medical attention if they come down with a fever or respiratory symptoms.
