Chief Secretary Carrie Lam has urged lawmakers to respect officials attending Legislative Council meetings.
Speaking to the media today, Mrs Lam said she has the responsibility to write to the council chairman to express her concerns after officials are verbally insulted or had objects hurled at them during meetings.
She also said the Government and LegCo members should share the common objective to serve the community.
Behaviour such as filibustering to delay passing policy proposals is against public interest and expectations.
