A Shanghai visit for lawmakers will include a half-day meeting with two senior Central Government officials, primarily to discuss constitutional reform, Chief Executive CY Leung announced this morning.
He noted their meeting with Hong Kong & Macau Affairs Office Director Wang Guangya and National People's Congress Standing Committee Deputy Secretary-General and Basic Law Committee Chairman Li Fei would also cover issues related to Hong Kong’s economic development and the relationship between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
The legislators will also meet Shanghai officials, visit infrastructure projects, attend seminars and meet Hong Kong residents living in Shanghai, he said.
He urged all legislators to take up the opportunity to exchange views with Central Government officials.
