Chief Secretary Carrie Lam reiterated today that reform consultation should comply with the Basic Law and National People's Congress Standing Committee decisions.
Speaking to the media after attending a forum on constitutional reform today, Ms Lam said more seminars on the issue will be held to explain to the public at large the Basic Law in relation to achieving universal suffrage.
The Home Affairs Bureau and the Home Affairs Department will conduct publicity events to promote the Basic Law in the community.
Ms Lam said the Government keeps an open mind and welcomes all proposals on constitutional reform.
