Chief Secretary Carrie Lam has urged people with different views on constitutional reform to reach a consensus on universal suffrage.
Speaking to the media after attending a seminar on constitutional reform today, Ms Lam said the reform consultation should comply with the Basic Law and National People's Congress Standing Committee decisions.
In response to an online poll conducted yesterday, Ms Lam said the result would not be a very useful reference in the reform consultation.
On the arrest of several people who forced their way into the People's Liberation Army Hong Kong garrison headquarters in Admiralty, she said Police will deal with them according to the law.
