200 arrested in drug raids

Police

Police have arrested 206 people, seizing $1.7 million worth of drugs, including ketamine, heroin, ice and cough syrup, in two citywide operations.

 

From March 29 to April 14 Police raided entertainment premises and Department of Health officers checked dispensaries.

 

A total of 186 men and 20 women aged 13 to 74 were arrested. Among them 39 boys and 11 girls were aged 20 or below.

 

They were arrested for possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and a Part I Poison, drug trafficking, selling a Part I Poison without pharmaceutical supervision, and failing to store a first-schedule poison in a locked receptacle.
