Hong Kong Police

Police have issued 103 fixed-penalty tickets and 127 summonses to motorists and pedestrians who violated traffic regulations during a Kowloon East crackdown yesterday.

Another 120 fixed-penalty tickets were issued for illegal parking and other parking offences, while 179 pedestrians and 72 drivers were verbally warned for jaywalking and other minor traffic offences.

A total of 198 officers were sent to traffic accident blacksites and potential traffic accident locations. They also distributed pamphlets on road safety.

Up to March, there were 464 traffic accidents with people injured in the region.
