Boy, 4, struck and killed crossing road

A four-year-old boy was struck by a car and died as he was crossing the road in Sheung Shui early this afternoon.

 

At about 1.40pm, a 25-year-old was driving a private car along Chi Cheong Road towards Sheung Shui. It reportedly hit the boy as he crossed the street in front of  9 Chi Cheong Road.

 

The youngster was taken to North District Hospital where he was certified dead at 2:52pm.

 

The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death.

 

Anyone who saw the accident is urged to call Police on 3661 3800 or make a report at any police station.
