Driver in fatal Kwun Tong accident arrested

Police are seeking information on a Kwun Tong traffic accident this morning in which a van ran over a 78-year-old woman who was lying on the road and later died.

 

The van, driven by a 51-year-old man, ran over the woman lying outside No 2 Shung Yan Street at 9.30am.

 

She was sent to United Christian Hospital with serious leg injuries and died at 9.51am.

 

The driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death, and for failing to stop and failing to report after a traffic accident.

 

Witnesses should contact Police on 3661 3308.
