32 arrested in anti-illegal employment blitz

Thirty-two people have been arrested in anti-illegal employment operations in Eastern District and West Kowloon.

 

From 7am to 5pm today. Immigration, Police and Labour Department officers raided a food production mill, a flat under renovation, restaurants and buildings.

 

Thirty-two people were arrested, including 16 illegal workers and six local employers.

 

Of the illegal workers, three were non-ethnic Chinese illegal immigrants, four were non-ethnic Chinese visitors, seven were Mainland visitors and two were foreign domestic helpers. Of the non-ethnic Chinese arrestees, three were holders of recognisance forms.
