181 tickets issued in Police operation

Police have issued 181 fixed penalty tickets and 132 summonses to motorists and pedestrians violating traffic laws in east Kowloon.

 

Another 218 fixed penalty tickets were issued for illegal parking and other parking offences. A total of 155 pedestrians were verbally warned for jaywalking and other minor offences.

 

The operation was conducted between 7am and 11pm yesterday, with 192 officers enforcing regulations at accident blackspots and potential accident locations.

 

The region recorded 1,630 traffic accidents with people injured from January to October.
