Police are investigating a traffic accident on the Island Eastern Corridor this evening in which a 40-year-old motorcycle passenger was killed.

A car driven by a 26-year-old man was travelling east bound on the corridor when it reportedly cut a lane near Tai Koo Shing and collided with a motorcycle ridden by another 26-year-old man about 7pm. The motorcycle's male passenger sustained serious head injuries and died at the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital at 7.15pm.

Both drivers and a 25-year-old woman passenger in the car were also injured and taken to the Hospital.

Witnesses should call Police on 3106 8848 or 3106 8849.
