150 evacuated in Lai Chi Kok blaze
*

About 150 people were evacuated and an elderly woman hospitalised due to a fire at Kau Wa Keng Old Village in Lai Chi Kok.

　

It broke out at 3.30pm yesterday and was extinguished three hours later. Eight Fire Services Department jets and 12 breathing apparatus teams were deployed.

　

Scores of huts in the village were severely damaged. An 86-year-old woman felt unwell and was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital. She is stable.
