Driver arrested in fatal Yau Tong accident

A 27-year-old male driver has been arrested for killing a 49-year-old cyclist in an accident in Yau Tong this afternoon.

 

At about 1.50pm, the younger man was driving his van along Cha Kwo Ling Road eastbound when he struck the 49-year-old cyclist near 44 Cha Kwo Ling Road.

 

The cyclist died at the scene at 2pm.

 

The driver left the scene after the accident but was later found at Sze Shan Street and arrested for reckless driving.

 

Witnesses should call 2305 7570 or 2305 7500.
