Taiwan visitors to get easier access
*
Immigration Department

Two new measures will be implemented January 1 offering greater convenience to Taiwan residents visiting Hong Kong.

The Immigration Department will lift the restriction that only two iPermits can be applied within 30 days, and extend the period of stay in Hong Kong from 14 to 30 days for holders of iPermits and Multiple Entry Permits.

Upon implementation of the new measures, holders of iPermits and Multiple Entry Permits can be granted a 30-day stay on visitor conditions upon each arrival in Hong Kong.

The measures will provide visitors from Taiwan, particularly 'pack-and-go' travellers, with further convenience and flexibility in planning their itineraries, the department said.
